From March 23 to March 30, 2026, the Center for Scientific and Technological Cooperation and Agrarian Research of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences will host the International Conference «The Sixth V.G. Rastyannikov's Readings»: Potential of BRICS and partner countries in a changing global landscape
The conference is intended to assess current challenges arising from the transformation of the global community and to discuss the following topics:
- Formation of a multipolar world, driven by the strengthening of Russia's alliances with friendly countries in Asia and Africa (BRICS+, SCO, EAEU, etc.)
- Opportunities for BRICS and partner countries to strengthen new political and economic alliances
- Social and economic development of BRICS and partner countries
- Trade and economic cooperation: BRICS and partner countries
- Resource potential of BRICS and partner countries amid the intensifying global competition for resources
- Technological revolution as a development priority for BRICS and partner countries in a transforming world (ICT, AI, energy systems, instrumentation, etc.)
- Scientific potential and scientific & technological cooperation of BRICS and partner countries
- Development of new logistics routes and transport corridors
- Food security and food sovereignty
- Monetary and financial aspect of international cooperation
